| Excited contestants who passed the first X Factor audition stage in Glasgow have been dealt a blow after finding out they will have to re-audition. Calls for a second audition come after Simon Cowell announced last week that the prelimary X Factor auditions would be held in front of a live audience - similar to his other ITV show Britain's Got Talent. The new format means those who got through the Glasgow auditions on June 8 will have to go through the nerve-wracking process again. An X Factor spokeswoman said: 'It does look like everyone who auditioned will come and audition again. 'We are still fine tuning our plans, but we aim to be back up in Scotland at the end of the month. 'We are working out how we are going to do it, but it does look like everyone who auditioned will come and audition again.' | |

| WARRING X Factor beauties Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue are trying to bury the hatchet as they start work on the reality juggernaut's new series. Dannii, 37, famously struggled when glam newcomer Cheryl, 25, stole the limelight last year and their rift was further deepened last week when it emerged Cheryl is paid a staggering THREE times more than Dannii and takes home a whopping 1.2 million paycheque. But now boss Simon Cowell insists they are pulling together. He said: "Girls are girls right - they all want to be the centre of attention. "I don't think anyone has ever ended up as best friends but they don't hate each other. In fact actually no, I think they like each other now...ish." However, he admitted they're never going to socialise outside of the show or become best buddies. He told GMTV host Ben Shephard: "They're not going to go on holiday together Ben, but you know, they've got to do the job they're being paid to do - which is judge a talent show. "Things have quieted down a bit - I think." But one rivalry that isn't dead is Simon's and Louis Walsh's. Flashing his own mega-watt style, Simon joked that Louis' teeth have turned grey after he tried to whiten them. He laughed: "Louis had his teeth done. No, I'm being serious. He went to my dentist, it hasn't been the success he was hoping because where as I use a white chart, he used a grey chart and I'm being serious his teeth are straight but they are grey." | If there was any truth behind rumours of rivalry between X Factor judges Cheryl Cole and Dannii Minogue it looks like things might be about to get worse. The show's producers have really given the two female judges something to fight about with huge pay differences between the pair. Cheryl, 25, is reported to be paid £1.2million for the next series while Dannii, 37, will get £450,000. The huge pay packet is a rise for the Girls Aloud singer who was paid £800,000 for the last series. Cheryl has been credited with boosting ratings for the ITV1 show, after becoming known as the nation's sweetheart. The pay deal is a blow for Australian judge Dannii whose £450,000 pay packet means she is the lowest-paid judge. Dermot O'Leary is paid more than £1million while Louis Walsh is paid £600,000. A source told The Sun newspaper: 'We may be living in the toughest economic times in decades but when someone helps a show pull nearly 15million viewers - as on last year's X Factor final - then you have to pay them to keep them on board. | |
